From sandals to sweaters

Well there is no denying it.  Summer is really over.  Friday was 21 degrees.....Saturday was 12 degrees and today is no better.  I don't know about you Dear Reader, but I am ready,  Ready for comfort food, cozy sweaters and yes, damn it, socks.  I have been thinking about soups and stews and maybe trying my hand at cabbage rolls.  I have made a list of all the things I want to cook for us this Fall.....from baked beans to squash ravioli, we're in this together, you and I.  So to start things off  I have a pumpkin loaf in the oven, scenting the house with its cinnamony (yes that's a word!) wonderfulness.  While its baking, let's get cozy and take a look back at some of the places I went and the things I saw this summer....
